Attic Insulation Photo Album: Attic Insulated with Room for Storage in Waterville, ME

The old storage deck consisted of a few pieces of plywood that had been laid across the ceiling joists.

This wall separated this section of the attic to the house. This exposed fiberglass does not do a good job of stopping air or heat loss from the home.

We built a new storage deck with walls to keep out the loose filled insulation.

Here you can see the loose filled cellulose that was installed outside of the storage area.

The wall that separated this attic section from home is now covered with our SilverGlo board insulation. This will stop air flow, increase the R-value of this wall, and reflect heat back outside during the hot summer months.
